Powder coating
Powder coating of metal products
Powder paints are a high-tech material with properties that traditional liquid coatings do not have. They consist of coloring pigments, film-forming resins, and catalysts that ensure the material’s curing. There is no solvent in the composition, and air acts as a dispersion medium.
Most customers come for reliability. When it comes to fences, gates, metal structures, commercial equipment or production parts, the issue of appearance is closely related to service life.

The powder coating process takes place in three stages
- surface preparation;
- application of powder paint;
- polymerization of the coating.
After polymerization, the surface becomes resistant to ultraviolet radiation, acquires electrical insulation and anti-corrosion properties. The coating is resistant to abrasion and impact loads, which significantly extends the service life of the products.
Metal preparation is half the battle
The quality of the coating does not start with the paint. Before application, the metal must be cleaned of rust and technical residues. That is why preparation takes as much attention as painting itself – it directly affects the adhesion and durability of the coating.

Application technology
Today, powder paint is applied by electrostatic spraying. The powder can be charged in two ways:
- conventional electrostatic charging – passing the paint through a high-voltage electrostatic field;
- frictional charging – charging of particles by friction against a dielectric.
We use electrostatic charging with equipment from the leading American company NORDSON. Thanks to Select Charge technology, the system provides four lines with different load levels, optimized for different applications.
This allows achieving a stable layer thickness, uniform coverage of complex geometries and high paint application efficiency regardless of the type of part.
Where does powder coating work best?
The method is used for metal structures, housing parts, fences, gates, commercial equipment, and manufacturing components.
In addition to protection, aesthetics play an important role. The modern color palette allows you to implement both classic solutions and complex design projects.

Professional execution matters
At Criox, powder coating is carried out taking into account the operating conditions of the product. We select the parameters for a specific metal, control the layer thickness and follow the technology at every stage.
The task is simple: to make sure that the coating works for a long time and does not create problems in the future.
If you need powder coating in Ukraine with predictable results and clear deadlines, contact Criox. Leave a request – we will calculate the cost and prepare a solution for your project.
