Powder paints are a high-tech material with properties that traditional liquid coatings do not have. They consist of coloring pigments, film-forming resins, and catalysts that ensure the material’s curing. There is no solvent in the composition, and air acts as a dispersion medium.

• conventional electrostatic charging – passing the paint through a high-voltage electrostatic field;
• frictional charging – charging of particles by friction against a dielectric.
