Not every coating is designed for real-world conditions. If the part is constantly in use, in contact with other surfaces, heated or operates in an aggressive environment, conventional painting is not enough. In such cases, Cerakote is used – a ceramic coating with increased wear resistance.
Cerakote creates a thin but dense layer that works as a protection against abrasion, corrosion, and mechanical damage. At the same time, the coating does not look massive and does not change the geometry of the part. This is important for components where precision matters.

When is it advisable to use Cerakote?
Ceramic painting is chosen for parts that operate under load. These can be elements of equipment, tools, mechanical components, and metal products that are actively used. If the surface is regularly subjected to friction or impact, a conventional coating will quickly lose its appearance and protective properties.
The temperature factor should be taken into account separately. Some components heat up during operation, and not every material is able to maintain stability in such conditions. Cerakote behaves predictably even at elevated temperatures.
Application technology
The result depends not only on the material itself, but also on the process. Before application, the surface undergoes complete preparation: cleaning, abrasive treatment, degreasing. Then the composition is applied and thermal polymerization is performed.
Violation of any stage affects the durability of the coating. That is why it is important to work with equipment that allows you to control the application parameters and temperature conditions.

What does ceramic painting do in practice?
Cerakote provides protection against corrosion, abrasion and moisture. The coating does not crack, peel or lose its properties after a short period of use. The surface retains a neat appearance without the need for frequent renewal.
The thin layer helps to maintain the accuracy of the fit of the parts, which is especially important for mechanical components. In addition to functional characteristics, various colors and textures are available that remain stable over time.
