What is metal sandblasting?

We use the method of abrasive blasting with sand. This method is one of the most efficient, fastest and affordable ways to prepare metal surfaces. This is one of the key stages before applying anti-corrosion or decorative protective coatings.

The process is simple: an abrasive is supplied under pressure and interacts with the metal surface, removing contaminants and a thin surface layer. The processing is controlled – without critical interference with the geometry of the part.

Unlike shot blasting, this method allows processing metal of almost any thickness without the risk of excessive mechanical stress.

The method is characterized by high processing speed and is suitable for both small parts and large structures. Our sandblasting capacities allow us to process products ranging from small components to trailers and large metal structures.

What is sandblasting used for?

Most often, the method is used to remove rust, carbon deposits, remnants of old paint and varnish coatings, and industrial contaminants. It can be used to restore metal structures or prepare new products for painting or applying protective layers.

Before applying coatings or further processing, the metal must be prepared. If there is scale, corrosion, or an old layer of paint on the surface, no coating will provide the required durability. Sandblasting can completely remove rust and other contaminants, minimize the need for additional surface degreasing, significantly increase the adhesion of coatings and extend their service life.

After processing, the metal acquires a uniform roughness, which increases the efficiency of applying and polymerizing paint or other coatings. It is this stage that often determines how long the finish coating will last.

Design features

Before starting work, the part is cleaned and prepared. Then the processing is carried out in the chamber or with the help of special equipment, depending on the dimensions of the workpiece and the conditions of the task.

The intensity of the abrasive is selected individually, taking into account the material, thickness and surface condition. This helps to avoid excessive metal removal while still achieving the desired result.
